Account entries show what account was used for the transaction. The first field shows the name of the account involved. This can be an account the student has previously established or she can create a new account simply by using it in a transaction. The Out and In columns are used to indicate negative and positive transaction amounts. If she spends money, she records the amount in Out. When she receive money, she'll place the amount in In.
Click the Add link (in some browsers, you can press Enter) and Banzai will record the account entry, as shown above. Numbers in the out column are preceded by a minus sign to denote that they represent negative amounts. Students can record a memo for the account entry by clicking on the account name, or they can delete it by clicking on the X.
If the transaction involved more than one account–if a student transferred money between accounts, for example–she can create additional account entries as needed.
