New: Life Scenarios!
You asked for it and today, we're giving it to you! Life Scenarios by Banzai are now available, for free, to all Banzai users. We've designed the Life Scenarios to teach students what to expect in the future, after graduation. They'll be guided through a series of events such as renting an apartment, paying down credit card debt, managing an auto loan, and even balancing their checkbook.
New Partnership with Credit.com!
We're pleased to announce that we have entered into a partnership with the good folks at Credit.com, a company dedicated to consumer education and advocacy.
New Privacy Features
We're excited to announce that we've implemented new privacy options for teachers and students. Some of you asked for a way to turn off the ability to see your students' transactions in order to be compliant with your districts' privacy guidelines. Your wish has been granted! If you activate this enhanced privacy feature, you'll only be able to see the number of transactions entered by a student as well as the date of the most recent transaction. Additional transaction details will be blocked.

This past year has included many milestones for Banzai. Since the launch of the Education Edition in early September, we have seen hundreds of teachers from 38 states, Canada, and Bermuda sign up to use Banzai in their classrooms. We also attended a variety of conferences around the country and had the opportunity to meet many of you in person. Thank you so much for your support and feedback.
Banzai: New & Improved!
We're pleased to announce a new version of Banzai that is easier for students and teachers alike to understand and use. After receiving feedback from teachers around the country, we developed an all-new interface designed to get your students up and running more quickly. The new version is available immediately and, of course, remains completely free for you and your students. The new features include:
Utah Jump$tart Conference
Apologies for the late notice, but we will be presenting at the Utah Jump$tart Conference in Midway, Utah this coming Friday, November 7 at 9:45 am. Many of you in Utah have already contacted us to state that you'll be in attendance. We look forward to seeing you there!
Upcoming Conference Appearances
Since our launch a month ago, teachers from 29 states have signed up to use Banzai. We have recently received invitations to appear at a number of state education conferences. Our next appearance will be at the the Virginia Jump$tart Conference next Tuesday, October 14 in Richmond. We look forward to seeing our Virginia users there!
Banzai is Free!
Since we started working on Banzai over a year ago, we have looked forward to the day when we could make Banzai accessible to everyone for free. We're thrilled to announce that, starting today, teachers and students, parents and children, and even lonely drifters, may access Banzai without charge.
2008 Utah CTE Conferences
Last week we spent three days in Davis County, Utah with Utah’s business and financial literacy educators. Aside from having a ton of fun speaking with Utah’s brightest, we introduced Banzai Education Edition in case loads of jars. Banzai Education was designed to give teachers the ability to have their students manage their personal finances, and most importantly learn to save and spend wisely.
Education Pilot a Success!
This week we completed our first successful pilot of the Banzai Education Edition in real classrooms. With the help of a highly experienced teacher named Susan Edwards of Wasatch High School in Heber City, Utah, 67 students were taught how to budget and save responsibly using Banzai’s unique “jars” system.
