Jars Assistant

For most students, allocating income across their jars is a fairly simple task. But what if you have a student whose finances are more complex? These users tend to have significant numbers of jars, the management of which can grow to be complex. The Jars Assistant is a tool designed to assist these students by creating templates for their income transactions.

 

 

Students may access the Jars Assistant by clicking the Setup link at the top of most Banzai pages, then clicking Jars Assistant in Jars column header. A new window opens and the student is walked through the process of defining his income followed by his bills, expenses, and savings goals, each of which will be represented by a jar. The tool then creates the specified jars, if necessary, and adjusts their balances to match the student's needs. The Jars Assistant also creates a template for the student to use when recording his income in the future. The template's jar entries are designed to ensure that sufficient funds are allocated to each jar from the student's income to meet his needs.

Students may use the Jars Assistant as often as needed to manage changing financial circumstances.
