Recording Transfers

A student can record transfers between two accounts as a single transaction in Banzai. He should simply record two counter-balancing account entries, showing money leaving the source account and entering the destination account. Because the net transaction amount is zero, no jar entries are required.

 

 
Any movement of money between two accounts tracked in Banzai should be recorded as a transfer, including ATM withdrawals, credit card payments, and the like. Funds can be transferred between jars in a similar manner.
