Students get the most out of Banzai when they use it to track their own finances. This lesson plan will prepare your class to record their income and expenses in the system for the duration of the course. (What does Banzai teach my students?)

Students must choose a jar for each expense. If one jar runs out of money, the student must make a trade-off and choose another.

Your students can watch their jar and account balances change as they enter transactions. They can change their budget or update their accounts anytime by clicking on the Setup link at the top of the page.

Students can enter income by clicking the Receive link at the top of the page.

Your students allocate their income across their jars according to need.

Students can move money between jars or accounts by clicking the Transfer link at the top of the page.

Transfers can be used to record transactions such as ATM withdrawals or credit card payments.
As your students use Banzai through the remainder of your course, they will learn to live by a budget -- a habit that they will keep long after your class is over.
